It is my pleasure to welcome you to the English Language Department at the Faculty of Education – Mizdah. The department is proud of its role in preparing academically and pedagogically qualified English language teachers who are capable of contributing effectively to the development of the educational process and to serving the community.
Since the launch of its academic activities in the 2018–2019 academic year, the department has been committed to offering a comprehensive academic program that focuses on the study of the English language, its literature, and linguistics. The programme aims to develop students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation, while equipping them with modern methodologies for teaching English as a foreign language based on sound pedagogical principles.
The department strongly believes in the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application through field training, the use of contemporary educational technologies, and the encouragement of scientific research. This approach ensures the graduation of competent teachers who are well prepared to meet current educational developments and labour market needs.
With quality and academic excellence as core priorities, the department continuously strives to enhance its programmes and courses and to instil professional responsibility in its students, preparing them to carry the mission of education with dedication and competence.

Description
The Department of English Language is one of the academic departments at the Faculty of Education – Mizdah. It began its academic activities in the academic year 2018–2019, with the aim of preparing specialized English language teachers who possess strong linguistic competence and appropriate pedagogical qualification for work in educational institutions.
The department focuses on the study of the English language, its literature, and linguistics. It seeks to develop students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation, in addition to equipping them with modern methodologies for teaching English as a foreign language based on sound educational principles.
The department also emphasizes the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical application, as well as the use of modern educational technologies, in order to graduate qualified teaching cadres capable of keeping pace with educational developments and effectively serving the community.
